Loving the program so far but why does it run so slow? First it takes a couple min to load, then everything you do runs slow. Laptop is only about 1 yr old. I3, 4GB ram, 64 bit External hard drive 2TB. 100,000 songs (and I havent even put in Karaoke yet).
The other program I use runs fine.
Hope someone can help. I would hate to waste the $ I spent on this just to not be able to use it.
Thanks again

After you have established your music library, and the album art cache is complete, TouchJams should be very responsive. To check the status of the album art cache, go to Options/Display/Album Art, look at the "Cache Status". If this is not 100%, TouchJams is working on the cache in a background thread. With a USB drive, this can be very slow. If the cache status is 100%, then all the album art thumbnails are on the boot drive, and now this shouldn't be an issue with a slow USB drive.
As for the USB drive, TouchJams is not going to be as responsive as with a SATA interface, for example when playing a song, TouchJams needs to calculate the playlength of a song for the cross fader. On a variable bit rate song, the entire song file needs to be analyzed.
If you would like me to investigate this further, I'd suggest we setup a TeamViewer session. If you don't know what TeamViewer is, Google it, it's free, and would allow me to see whats going on with your setup in real time.
