Adding another button to skin

Hi There
firstly can I say I think TouchJams is an amazing piece of software and works far better than many commercial highly priced systems I've experienced in the past..

So a massive well done to you for putting together such a great piece of software.


is there an option (or could there be) to add a further button or buttons that allow the user to execute a command to batch file that starts a function on a third party piece of software etc.

for example if the software was being used in a bar setting , a waitress call button could be added to the screen to summon more drinks or help etc .?

also 


Is there an option to force TouchJams to show the video or Karaoke screen video as soon as the user selects PLAY , rather than having to click NOW PLAYING button on a single screen setup?

Thanks for the kind words.

As for adding a button to execute a command, go to Options/System/Custom Command. From here:
1) check Enabled
2) enter a Title, this will be the text on the button
3) enter a valid Path value, please note if this path is invalid, the button will not appear
4) enter any command line Parameters
5) the Wait for Process to Finish does pretty much what it says

If you want to change the position of this button, let me know, that's as simple as starting the skin editor and moving it where ever you want.

For making the video appear as soon as something is played, this would be a good new feature, probably add it in the options somewhere.

One more quick question if I may ...

Do karaoke files have to be zipped format In order for Touch Jams to see and import them...?

I have some karaoke files that are NOT zipped and won't import causing an error.

I'm just checking to see if this is an issue with the ZIP part or maybe an ID tag issue

Also, make sure the music file is tagged.
