New User - Searched for answers - Help please

New user here.  Have been playing with TJ for a few weeks trying to figure it out.  Here are a few items I could use some help with.

1. AutoDJ will not work.  Nothing ever plays. (See attached images)

2. Fade from Song A -> Song B.  When the fade is on, Song A plays to the end, Song B starts to fade in, then Song A plays again.  Happens > 50% of the time.  Turn off Fade, all is well.

3. There is no visual indication a user has selected a song to play besides a this blue line on the button of the song.  Is this normal?  When selecting a song from other locations (top played for example) it displays another screen to show you want to add the song.

Some of the "Timers" in Touchjams have been broken for a long time, so i would suggest you Delete the AUTO-DJ Scheduled Item thing in your last picture.

Just set AUTODJ to Continuous.

Also, on the second picture, it shows 0 titles in your AutoDJ library, you need to ENABLE a Library for AutoDJ to use

Reset cross fader back to default settings and it should work.

You should get the add song page after selecting a song from any page, The song should show up in the Playlist, what location or page do you NOT get this happening on ??

1 - Where do I add a library to AutoDJ?

3 - Normal view is by Artist. I select any ablum, it lists the songs, and select a song from the list. All albums / tracks do the same as the video I posted.

I am not in front of it at this moment, but I just downloaded it / paid for it in the past few ( 4 - 6 ) weeks...

I will check this when I get to the arcade later today.

I assume your version is April 26, 2022 - Beta Release 3.5.2.6 then ??

3. I can not recreate the issue that you have, You should get the add song page after selecting a song from any page.

As a MASSIVE GUESS, I would think you have messed something up within Touchjams while testing it.

Let me know if fault 1 & 2 are fixed with the info I gave you and I will have another poke around in Touchjams.

You need to make a better video so I can see the whole screen, rather than me asking you loads of questions.

1. What skin are you using ??

2. Are you running in ADMINISTRATOR  mode, if NOT, what are you using, Protected or Supervisor ??

Just a quick note regarding TouchJams versions.

The current released version is 3.5.2.4. When you purchase TouchJams, you will receive a download link to this version, and this is what most people will install/use.

The latest beta release is 3.5.2.6. If you want this version, you have to download/install it from here: touchjams.com/default.asp?page=news

Version 3.5.2.4 did contain a bunch of xfader and autodj bug fixes, but if you're running into troubles I'd recommend using the latest beta release and confirm that your issues are still present.

Added AutoDJ to the music library and still no good. Still does not play.

Adding songs to the q to play is still the same.

I am currently using the default skin.

I am willing to start over with the whole thing. Is there a pref file I can just delete to start "fresh"?

I will down load the new beta and see if that is any help.

I would do a FULL/CLEAN reinstall with the new BETA, read the help file about what you need to do, make sure you have backed up your TouchJams key. I haven't done this for years, as I use the dongle version, so I can't help you on this one. A search of the forum may help you.

Ok guys. Thanks for the previous help. Sorry for taking so long to get back, very busy lately. The beta seems to have taken care of the above problems.

I am now trying to work with music videos.

Selecting VIDEO on the upper right of the screen brings up the videos as it should.
I select a artist, select a video to play, and it will start to play the video. (on the 2nd monitor)
Then I click BACK to go to a different artist, and no videos are listed. I have to select HOME, then VIDEO and I will again see all the available videos.

Don't think it matters, but all my videos are x264 mp4.

MUSIC: When some one searches for a song / artist, should HOME clear any search options? Some customers will search find what they want and walk away. The next customer walks up to browse the library, and there may be NO tracks listed, or only the ones that matched the previous search (if any exist). If HOME does not clear it previous search, what is a "EASY" way to clear for the next customer?
