Not sure if this is a computer glitch or software glitch. I was having issues when selecting an album, choosing a song to play, and then returning to main screen. The album art would be gone and replaced with an icon that looked like a timer. (See pictures below.) Once exiting main screen and going back the art would be there as normal. I was able to solve this by going to options, System Health (Look For Internal and Select It.) Under Album Art, Image Resize Mode mine was set to Gaussian. I changed it to AREAAVG_FAST. This eliminated my issue completely. If anyone else has this issue I hope this helps. I do love this software. It is the best!!

Well I'm having the same issue on another PC now. Haven't figured out how to correct it. Have deleted cover art database. No help. Have selected different Resize Modes, No help. Have tried different skins. Nothing to this point has made a difference. The mystery icon appears randomly and goes away after switching screens. See it a lot in the More albums... when selecting an album. Art appears normally, select a song, go back and mystery icon is there. Anyone have ideas. Thanks

I have NEVER had an issue with Album Art, I don't have any "embedded" album art in any music tracks and use a 1000x1000 folder.jpg in the album folder. I have NEVER had to change any settings under System Health / Internal / Album Art to get images to display, If it is the same album art that is causing you problems, i would check size and resolution of the album art you are using. These are my settings.

I'm starting to believe it might be video card related. It is doing it on both of my Dell AIO units. They have on board Intel HD graphics. On other music box I have dedicated graphics card installed and have not seen this issue. Drivers are up to date. It's a minor issue, as I love the software. Not sure why the icon appears or if it is part of the software? Love a challenge and thanks for your reply.

The "ICON" i beleave is TouchJams telling you it is loading album art. If you delete all your album art, start TouchJams and scroll through all your albums QUICKLY, you will see this "ICON" as TouchJams caches the images. I have ran TouchJams on some really low spec PC's, The lowest spec was Intel Dual core T5800 @ 2.00Ghz 4gb Ram, onboard graphics(WINDOWS 7) This system used 20 to 30% CPU + RAM 1.09Gb with TouchJams running and once the album art was cached, I NEVER saw this icon again.
My take on your problem is the ACTUAL album art, NOT your PC specs. You need a plan to troubleshoot what is wrong, 1 Confirm Your PC with the dedicated graphics card installed is displaying ALL the album art 100% of the time. 2 Find and move to a "TEST" folder (NOT in your Libary paths) all the albums on the other 2 PC's that are giving you the problems. 3 Confirm ALL the other albums art are displaying 100% 4 Have a GOOD look at the album art in the albums that are NOT displaying correctly, could be MASSIVE sized images or other problems.

Ok, so this is what I have. My album art is in a folder called Covers. Each album has one of these folders as a sub folder. Names of album art vary. I use mp3 tag and add the album art using that program. I've notice that this is not necessary IF the album art is in the album folder. I'm wondering if I am confusing Touchjams in some way. I don't have an issue with the music box with the dedicated graphics card. Just the 2 Dell AIO's with the Intel HD graphics. Should I load the album art into Mp3 tag or just put the album art in the folder? Wondering how you do it, tonyneen?

I think you are confusing TouchJams, your album art should be in your actual ALBUM folder, NOT in a sub folder. I would place the album art in the actual ALBUM folder and delete the "COVER" sub folder, Name your art something simple, "Cover" or "Folder". I don't have any "embedded" album art in any music tracks and use a 1000x1000 folder.jpg in the album folder. This way you can save a bit of space aswell.

Agreed. I have been making changes. I have embedded most of the album art, which seems to not work well on these PC's. I am also transferring the art directly to the album folder and deleting the sub folders. I'll let you know how it turns out. thanks for the feedback.

Just an update. I went through all my album art and resized them all. Anything that was larger than 1000x1000 was reduced in size to 1000x1000. Anything below 1000x1000 was reduced or enlarged to 500x500. I then deleted the album art folder. This did not help. Did find a nice program to resize art with...PHOTOPAD. Works very nice. So not all was lost. I have tried embedding the art with mp3tag. I have tried just putting the art in the folder. Doesn't seem to matter. Have tried switching the album art load rules. Nothing has helped. But I'm not giving up. The problem is random. Doesn't effect one particular art. Sometimes one will go away. Sometimes several. If you exit the screen and go back they are back. Very random.

Too random for me to help you with, i would have a look at how the operating system is performing, RAM and CPU usage, idle and Touchjams running, good luck

No...you did help! This is a labor of love at this point. The embedding of the images with mp3tag and the subfolders holding the images appears to be the problem. I have also changed the album art rules to how you have it set up. Apparently by default it installs the other way. (Tag info, then music file location) I hadn't changed this before. I have no idea if changing the image file sizes helped. Maybe after all is working correctly I'll try some odd image sizes just for @$%%@'s and giggles. Have also noticed that the image file name does not seem to matter. Now I have only made changes to 200 or so folders but so far so good. Have about 1100 more to do. Again...you DID help. I respect your advice and opinions which have kept me going. Thanks again, and I wish you the best in the upcoming holidays!

To finish up on this thread. The album art is now appearing correctly. I should say NOT disappearing. I installed the newest beta version, loaded all music and it is working perfectly. As I stated before I was having the problem on two machines (both AIO Dell's) so I will need to see if an install of the newest beta helps that machine as well. That machine is with my sister who lives in North Carolina. I'll be visiting with her in May. She doesn't trust herself to do an install. Again, thanks to Bob for his awesome software and the continued updates.
