I searched the forum and reviewed multiple bluetooth threads for a fix but nothing has worked. I have a touchscreen system in my bar area and when the computer is connected to a bluetooth speaker the music keeps stopping and presenting the attached "The Audio Engine Must Be Restarted" message. I have gone through 3 different brands of bluetooth speakers all with the same behavior within 15 min of operation. When the message comes up the previously conencted bluetooth speaker no longer shows up as an output device. When not running TouchJams and streaming from the internet or playing a video on the same PC there are no issues with audio and the speakers never disconnect...it is only with TouchJams. Again I have reviewed the other threads on bluetooth connectivity and ensured the defaults are set appropriately, and the sound comes through the various bluetooth speakers just fine, but within a short amount of time the audio engine message comes up. Pulling my hair out here and am hoping someone has the answer. Cheers, Nathan

I would hazard a guess at Bluetooth driver problem, Windows probably hijacked your driver. Download and install the latest drivers from your Bluetooth device manufacturer's website.

Is this a Windows power management issue? Seems odd that it consistently turns off after 15 minutes, and that's what is triggering "The Audio Engine Must Be Restarted". The following article shows how to get to the power management settings for BT, might want to check it out: www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/how-to-solve-bluetooth-keeps-disconnecting/Let me know if that still doesn't help.
