Ofcourse Touchjams can play video that is not new but it cannot transition video like it does audio. There is 3 seconds of silence between videos. Whenever the developer fixes that issue, then it will be the best Jukebox software. As of now Jukebox Jockey is better.

There is no 3 second pause on mine. You either have a slow drive or your videos need silence trim. Either way Jukebox Jockey is overpriced windows media player. 👌

Even the owner of Touchjams acknowledeged that Touchjams is not capable of crossfade for video. There is a short gap between videos when going from one to the next. See pasted comments from owner below.. I will make a video review of all the jukebox software whenever I get the chance and post to Youtube. I only state facts. There are many jukebox software but in my opinion there are only 3 good ones; Touchjams, Jukebox Jockey and Zenpoint. First let me say, I don't think anyone has researched Jukebox software like me as I love music more than life itself. I own thousands of mp3, mp4 (music videos) and CDG (Karaoke). I own 40 terabytes of media and my apartment looks like a lounge (3 Tvs, Arcade system, Speakers, 3 Computers, 2 microphones for Karaoke and extensive lighting. I have music spanning many genres Pop, Classics, Rock, Rock, Alternative, Soca, Reggae, Dancehall, Disco, Techo, Afrobeat, House, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Rnb, EDM, Country, Funk, Latin, Gospel and much more. I say this not show off. The point is I am no regular music person and I have spent most of my money on Music. I think I have tried every Jukebox software I could find on the internet and I own licenses for Touchjams, Jukebox Jockey and Zenpoint. If you are just listening to mp3s then Touchjams is the best, my only minor gripe is there is no way to scrub through the song but most people would not need that feature. I love the interface, easy of use, ton of features for customizing it to your liking and the crossfade is great. Jukebox Jockey and Zenpoint also are good for mp3 but they lack the polish of Touchjams. When it comes to Music videos Touchjams lack of crossfade for video is a big letdown because if I have an event at my house the 2-3 seconds of silence between videos (no crossfade) kills the mood. Zenpoint and Jukebox Jockey can crossfade for video. I don't like Zenpoint because the software is clunky and does not have a modern look. It also does not find all my Karaoke songs. Jukebox jockey is what I use most because it does everything but I don't like the interface as much as I like Touchjams. As soon as Touchjams get the ability to crossfade for video, I will ditch Jukebox Jockey in a heartbeat. I didn't mean for this post to be so long. See the owner of Touchjams post below on why touchjams does not have video crossfade.
Carlton,
Sorry for the late response here, regarding your initial question with x-fader and videos, I really did take your post as more of a feature request than an urgent bug issue (which do get handled immediately). X-fading with videos is not implemented within TouchJams. TouchJams uses a 3rd Party library for: playing audio, playing video, audio visualizations, and a few other things. This 3rd Party library supposedly supports x-fading with video, but I have chose not to go down this route because the 3rd Party library has for many years had some issues with playing video in general on certain machines. Throughout the years I have repeatedly been in contact with the 3rd Party Library tech support trying to make things better, but it appears that they will just not budge, on anything.
At this moment, and I can't give out a lot of details, but I'm hoping to make a large announcement by end of this year.

There is no crossfade and there is no gapless feature so obviously there is a gap. Maybe you have a special version that even the owner of the software does not have.
