I have noticed that some times a song I have queued up gets skipped. I can play it later and it plays fine. So I know it isn’t a problem with the file. any ideas as to why?

To add to the weirdness it on the now playing screen it shows the skipped song even though that ain’t what is playing. And playing next doesn’t show any is actually playing either.

Can you reproduce this issue with the cross-fader turned off?

I don’t have cross-fader enabled.

The next time this happens, can you immediately shut down TouchJams, zip up the following folder and email it to me (support@touchjams.com):
C:\Users\(logged in user)\AppData\Roaming\TouchJams\db

I am/was having same problem. Try this and see if problem goes away: Under Systems/Timers/Auto DJ Set "Start After Jukebox Idle For:" to 30 seconds Set "Add Next Song Delay" to 5 minutes

Ignore last post - what I described did not help. I have emailed support.

Where this sits, I have a customer who is able to reproduce this and has offered me remote login. Hopefully I can reproduce this issue on that machine and figure out what is going on.

Thanks. Let me know how I can help. I don’t know to reproduce but I loaded a bunch of songs in a playlist today and several have been skipped.

This basically fixed the issue nearly 100% Some of our machines have standard drives, some have SSD's. Cache to disk is enabled on all of them. As I have discovered, the problem only appears if you have Auto DJ enabled, in our case it is on continuous.

Drive was already set to cache. Turned off auto DJ and so far that’s fixed the issue l.

Change from HDD to SSD didnt work for me. Songs still getting skipped. But Touchjams runs smoother.
My fault: I've used the 'Play Next' Button instead of the 'Play' Button, because didnt like it when Auto DJ stops when a Guest add a song. Now i changed back to the 'Play' Button and skipping stops. Maybe some of you have the same Button for Playing, try to change this.
Best regards
