It's sad that nobody answeres. He is maybe a future buyer.
Hopefully it's not to late: I have the same problem like you on Win 10. My solution is to save the 'Skin' Folder in another directory. Maybe to 'User->Documents->Touchjams' I don't know why, TouchJams has no writing access to the standard 'Skin' Folder.
Best Regards

Bob is one guy who writes code for this software. He's not God, so yes, it takes time for him to reply, but he DOES eventually reply.

3 Months? I don't want to blame bob or anyone else. Touchjams is the best jukebox software i have found. But when i pay for Software (50$ + taxes) i expect at least a answer within a few days.
Best Regards

All the skins (by default) are located under C:\ProgramData\TouchJams\Skins. For the skin you are having issues with, I'd open the skin.xml file in NotePad, and try to save the file. If you are getting an access error here, then you'd need to modify access rights/permissions via Windows OS.

As a new user I noticed the problem still exist but is easy to fix. It's a security issue. It would be usefull for the help-files.
Right click on the Icon: Touchjams and "Run as Administrator"
If you right-click and go to "Propeties", use the tab "shortcut" and click "Advanced" to make it permanent
Greetings Manuel
